Barrel Innerstave is for use in neutral oak barrels. The system is a stainless steel radial Innersleeve design where the species, toast and square footage of each system is completely customizable. The stainless steel Innersleeve* was designed to remain in the barrel year after year which saves the integrity of the barrel compared to the disposable poly rod system. Innersleeves* are also easier to recycle used wood responsibly by completely removing plastic as a waste by-product. This system can be installed by our cooperage team through the opened head of a neutral barrel. The absence of the staves at the bunghole and the bottom lees pool leaves racking and stirring uninhibited. The systems can be cleaned with regular barrel cleaning procedures such as hand operated wands and Tom Beard Barrel Washing Systems. Barrel Innerstave systems work within the framework of traditional barrel programs to augment total premium oak flavor profiles while moderating the higher costs associated with purchasing all new barrels.
